Libvirt uses a hypervisor (such as QEMU) to run a VM and provides an API to manage it. If you’re only interested in running virt-manager on macOS (and connect to remote machines) you can skip the steps after the virt-manager installation. The developers of virt-manager (Red Hat) are not testing on macOS and it will break on major updates.
